Attended an original Orchestra Installation in conjunction with the exhibition “anyspaceanywhere” in the Guggeheim Theater Auditorium, titled “NY 2022”, a work by visual artist Dominique Gonzales-Foerster and compser, Ari Benjamin Meyers, produced by the Works In Process organization, FALL 2008 Season, On Friday, October 25th, which included a reception in the rotunda. This piece, as well as the exhbition, was quite a surprise to everyone who attended this event. The performance lasted 50 minutes and the theme was…THE YEAR: 2022…THE PLACE: New York City…THE POPULATION: 40,000,000! Although Beethoven Symphony No.6, the first movment, was fantastic, my favorite segment was titled “BOOKS”... songs remembered (Sentimental Journey), a dreamy baritone rendition. It is obivious… art can be made in “anyspaceanywhere” Just show up and experience!

Relaunching facilitated “Art Gallery Walks” FREE, in Chelsea, Saturdays at 2PM…for further information and meeting details I can also be contacted at art-508 at MeetUp.com, photos available on site, and everyone is welcome to join us. Looking forward to seeing some new faces and art enthusiasts!

I was charmed by the exhibition at Robert Miller Gallery on Saturday afternoon in Chelsea during my free to the public gallery walks, by artist Hwang-Yong Chun. Exceptional artwork combining installations and mounted styrofoam triangles wrapped and carefully tied with thin thread, each individually inserted on large canvas hangings. The detail in these pieces is truly remarkable. I have followed this artists’ work from a show in a less known gallery, with a few much smaller pieces, and was impressed with this style then. To see this evolution of work in this space is an exceptional personal experience.

WHat is the date ?
